THE KING’S WINGS
Providing Critical Relief in the Wake of Hurricane Dorian
At NutraMedix, we believe in radical generosity. We consider ourselves a giving engine, powered by you. Each year, NutraMedix donates a minimum of 50% of our profits to critically important causes across the globe. Whether it’s feeding the hungry or helping build schools for the less fortunate, we are dedicated to giving back to those in need around the world.
Our goal is to surpass

Desperate Humanitarian Relief Was Needed
About The King’s Wings
The King's Wings is a Christian, non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through the support of existing ministries. The King’s Wings’ mission is to serve those in need using dedicated aircraft and volunteer pilots to transport workers, building materials, supplies, and food to orphanages, youth camps, churches, and more.
The King’s Wings has been flying supplies and personnel to the islands of the Bahamas and throughout the Caribbean for over 20 years. The ministry started when a missionary pilot, Steve Ross, was returning from serving in the jungles of Peru.
of Peru.Starting with a borrowed single-engine Cessna 182, The King’s Wings slowly grew in capacity and reach, with increasingly larger and faster twin-engine aircraft made available to the ministry to offer more services and greater support. By sharing the love of Jesus, King's Wings is committed to the transportation of emergency workers and supplies to support hurricane relief efforts and other disasters in the Caribbean. Today, The King’s Wings operates a Cessna 401, a Beechcraft Baron, and a Piper Cherokee 6 to continue its mission throughout the region.
Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas in 2019 was among the worst natural disasters the Abaco Islands have ever had to navigate. Hurricane Dorian, a Category 5 hurricane, hit the islands on September 1, and a day later, hit the Grand Bahama Island, still holding on to its Category 5 strength. It stalled over the Grand Bahama for yet another day, finally pulling away from the island on September 3.
The Category 5 Hurricane That Turned Lives Upside Down
I WAS HUNGRY believes that hunger, dependency, and poverty could be eradicated if a farmer is capable of spreading the knowledge, skills, and hope they have received from this training program to their village and neighboring communities. Here are some core farming and management principles taught.
On September 1, the eye of Hurricane Dorian touched land on the Abaco Islands with winds of more than 185 mph, making it the strongest hurricane on record to affect The Bahamas and surrounding areas. This infamous storm left at least 70,000 people homeless across the country. An estimated 13,000 homes—that’s roughly 45% of the homes on the Abacos and Grand Bahama—suffered severe damage or were completely destroyed.
In addition, after Hurricane Dorian struck the northeast Bahamas, it is estimated that over 5,000 Haitians living in Marsh Harbor died in the enormous storm surge.
Offering Relief and Love to the People of The Bahamas
In the first 90 days after Hurricane Dorian subsided, The King’s Wings made 74 flights to The Bahamas and surrounding areas, delivering much-needed food, water, and emergency care and supplies. The volunteer pilots and staff worked diligently for hours on end to collect the necessary supplies and volunteers who could bring relief to the Bahamians in utter distress.
In the wake of Hurricane Dorian, The King’s Wings not only helped to evacuate local people, transport relief workers, and volunteers, but they provided love and empathy in the midst of one of the greatest crises in Bahamian history.
The King’s Wings accomplished this important work thanks to donated funds and support from others in the surrounding communities.
Help The King’s Wings Continue to Soar
All of the pilots that are a part of The King’s Wings are volunteers, and all funds for aircraft and fuel are donated. If you believe in The King’s Wings and their mission, please join us in helping them to continue to serve others in dire circumstances.
