Detoxification — Who Needs to Detoxify?
Thriving in a Toxic World
The human body is equipped to handle exposures to toxins. That having been said, environmental toxins in everyday life tend to be the rule rather than the exception. Air and water pollution, pesticides, heavy metals, and even overly processed foods can be risks. In current times, it is important to support the body’s natural detoxification systems and to take mindful steps toward prevention.
How Detoxification Works
The liver is the main organ of detoxification, particularly for fat-soluble toxins. For water-soluble toxins, both the urinary tract and the digestive tract help with detoxification. The kidneys participate by filtering toxins out of the blood and removing them from the body through the urine, and the colon helps to remove toxins from the body through the stool.
Preventing Toxicity
One of the best ways to thrive in a toxic world is to be mindful of what we put into, on, or around our bodies – not just internally, but also externally. Internally, diet matters. The Standard American Diet (SAD) is very high in processed foods that tend to be nutrient-poor. Fresh fruits and vegetables, in contrast, are nutrient-rich, and eating a rainbow of different colored fruits and vegetables can help with a well-balanced nutrient intake, helping to support healthy digestion and elimination.
To avoid conventionally grown produce with higher pesticide residues, it’s worth consulting the lists of produce with the most and the least amounts of pesticide residues, respectively.¹ You can also lookup various food additives to learn about their respective safety.²
Externally, using natural cleaners, opening windows while cleaning, and choosing natural cosmetics with fewer ingredients of concern can also be preventive. If you’re not sure where to start with safer personal care products, you might consult one of the online databases for information.³
Supporting Healthy Detoxification
We can support liver health with a healthy diet, regular exercise, and maintaining a healthy weight. We can support kidney health by staying hydrated and by using salt in moderation instead of excess. We can support colon health by including dietary fiber, which helps to keep bowel movements regular and supports the excretion of toxins in the stool. For further health support of the organs of detoxification and elimination, dietary supplements may be helpful.ᶧ
The liquid supplements in this bundle work together to support detox cleansing and help to maintain healthy detoxification.ᶧ
Burbur-Pinella is a blend of Desmodium molliculum leaf extract and Pimpinella anisum stem extract. Desmodium molliculum is a Peruvian herb that has traditionally been used for liver support.ᶧ⁴ Pimpinella anisum has long been used in traditional herbalism for digestive tract support.ᶧ⁵ Together, these support the health of two of the body’s main detoxification systems.ᶧ
Sealantro is a blend of chlorella, cilantro leaf, and Pacific cold-water red seaweed (Chondracanthus chamissoi) extracts. Chlorella may help to support liver health through detox.
Sparga is an extract from asparagus (Asparagus officinalis) stems and leaves. This is the same asparagus that is eaten as a vegetable, and it is rich in many different vitamins and minerals. In traditional use, asparagus has been used to increase urine production and may help to support urinary health.ᶧ⁶
When the body’s main detoxification systems (liver, digestive tract, and urinary tract) are working well, we feel well, and we are well!

There are 600 drops in each 1oz bottle and 1200 drops in each 2oz bottle of our liquid products.
When we say our products are highly bioavailable, we mean that all of our products are designed to be better absorbed by the body on a cellular level.NutraMedix’s products are in dropper form. Our products are liquid for two main reasons:
- To extract the desired components from the natural and raw materials we are deriving our supplements from, and
- To ensure our supplements are delivering the full-spectrum benefits of the extract.
To do this, our liquid products contain 20-24% food-grade ethanol which helps the compounds of our products that are either water-soluble or ethanol-soluble, to deliver more nutrients to the cells. This process gives you the full benefit of the compound and its raw materials, rather than just a portion of it.
The recommended doses for NutraMedix products are intended for an average size adult that weighs between 120-170 pounds. For children 4 and older, for every 30 pounds, a fourth of the dose is recommended.
